Capacity-building

A number of capacity-building activities are currently being planned.  This page will be updated shortly.

We are in the process of developing a new Intensive Climate Policy Training Program.  The content of this training program is based on research of the CPL and will cover a variety of levels of policy processes, including state, national, and bi-lateral, while maintaining a global perspective, which is the motto of The Fletcher School.  The objectives of the Program are to provide professionals with the knowledge and understanding of current climate change policy approaches and their successes and failures, as well as technical and analytical tools to more effectively and efficiently address climate change policy and governance.  Climate policy experts will impart valuable information on the state of global, national, and bi-lateral climate policy.

The program will provide participants with a complete climate policy toolbox, and equip them with the analytical tools to understand the options for climate change policy.  More importantly, it will also provide a unique opportunity for participants to engage with faculty who are among the leading experts and foremost researchers in the field, and with peers from around the world.  In addition, participants will be knowledgeable of the history and issues in international negotiations, as well as learn some key negotiation strategies and skills.
