Postdoctoral Scholar
Hengrui (Henry) Liu is a postdoctoral researcher at the Climate Policy Lab at The Fletcher School, Tufts University. His research focuses on energy technology innovation, climate and industrial policy, and the political economy of the global energy transition, with particular emphasis on electric vehicles and clean energy supply chains. Employing mixed methods that integrate econometric analysis with policy and institutional analysis, his work investigates how governments and firms drive technological change and industrial development in emerging clean-technology sectors.
Prior to joining Fletcher, he served as a research associate at the U.S.–China Business Council in Beijing. Liu holds a Ph.D. in Economics and Public Policy from Tufts University, an M.A. from Johns Hopkins University, and a B.A. from Brandeis University.
