Nora Hampl completed her doctoral studies at the Institut für Politikwissenschaft at the University of Vienna in Austria. Her research areas include social and ecological aspects of decarbonization and energy transition policies, renewable energy technology innovation and dissemination, and distributed generation using renewable sources – particularly in areas of high biodiversity. As an interdisciplinary energy researcher, she aims to achieve a system-level understanding of how energy and climate policies impact the energy-water-soil-forest nexus across scales. In her published research, she focuses on theoretical and conceptual approaches that foreground contextual ecological and cultural factors in energy system design.
