Mieke van der Wansem is the Director of Programs of the Center for International Environment and Resource Policy (CIERP) at The Fletcher School, Tufts University. Mieke directs strategic initiatives; directs and develops educational and research materials, proposals and projects; designs and directs executive education training programs; manages several large projects in the Climate Policy Lab; liaises with CIERP alumni; and develops fellowship, internship, and job opportunities for graduate students.
Mieke has over thirty years experience as organizational and program leader and manager, trainer, and researcher on environmental and natural resource policy issues around the world.
Mieke has authored many multi-stakeholder negotiation simulations on natural resource and development conflict topics, some of which are for sale at the Harvard Program on Negotiations teaching materials and publications website (http://www.pon.harvard.edu/store/).
Mieke has a MALD from The Fletcher School, Tufts University and a B.S from Boston University.
