Kathryn Hochstetler

Kathryn Hochstetler

Professor of International Development at the London School of Economics and Political Science. She has been studying the intersection between environment and development issues since 1989, mostly in Brazil and Latin America. For the last decade, she has been publishing on energy transition, climate institutions and policy, and the diverse participation of developing countries in the green economy. Her most recent book was Political Economies of Energy Transition: Wind and Solar Power in Brazil and South Africa.

Deputy Director of the MIT Center for Energy and Environmental Policy Research.

In his work, he focuses on climate policy design and implementation, including its intersections with environmental, energy, financial market, and trade policy.

Jennifer Morgan

Jennifer Morgan

Jennifer Morgan is a globally recognized leader and expert with over 30 years of experience in international climate and energy policy, diplomacy, and civil society leadership.

She is currently serving as a Senior Fellow at the Climate Policy Lab of Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University, and as a Fellow at the Hertie School of Governance, Berlin. She also serves as Ambassador for the Global Solidarity Levy Taskforce.

Adviser (Energy) at NITI Aayog, Government of India, with over 25 years of experience in energy policy, strategic planning, modelling and public policy advisory. His work focuses on strengthening India’s energy security and supporting a reliable, affordable and sustainable transition towards a low-carbon economy.

Pedro Tiê

Pedro Tiê

Pedro Tiê Candido Souza is a Brazilian career diplomat with almost 15 years of experience on sustainable development, climate change and energy. Since 2024, he has been an advisor to the Director of the Energy Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, covering topics ranging from G20, BRICS, energy planning, just and inclusive energy transitions and TAFF (transitioning away from fossil fuels).
