Digital Energy Technologies
Part of the Energy Innovation and Digital Technology project
There are a host of emerging technologies that will be critical to low carbon industrialization and national defense in the coming decades. These include electricity storage and smart grid networks, quantum computing, AI, and big data analytics, advanced manufacturing, automation, and small-scale advanced nuclear power, to name a few. This research theme allows CPL to continuously update the cross-cutting technologies that are being prioritized by governments in their decarbonization efforts and to monitor the solutions that are likely to emerge from the private sector as national economic stimulus plans target strategic technology industries.
