Multinational Efforts in Energy Innovation
Part of the Energy Innovation and Digital Technology project
Mission Innovation (MI) is a multinational energy innovation initiative conceived in 2015 as part of the Paris Agreement on Climate Change. Our research on global multinational energy innovation considers how MI and other institutions navigate technological free ridership in the global economy to address a global commons challenge. We study which policies promote breakthroughs and technology transfer in light of increased competition for energy leadership and how MI and other multilateral frameworks can be used to broaden private sector ambitions and integration.
